Have you ever held a position in an argument past the point of comfort?

Just after dismissing a parent from my office, Father Flynn rushes into my office and shuts the door. He knows that nothing he could say would make me change my mind, so, respectfully, I don't think he needs to be here. Despite putting on a front of certainty, I recognize there's no way to know for sure what happened, but I have to protect the boy from any inappropriate conduct from Father Flynn. I have to keep going even though I recognize I may not be right. I have my doubts on continuing to persecute him, but I have to keep going or else I won't be fulfilling my duty to protect the children.
