My boyfriend and I have a story that you literally cannot make up. My ex boyfriend cheated on me and I didn’t know on with who. A month later after I left him he had a new girlfriend. A few months later, I’m working at a bar, and the new girlfriend’s ex boyfriend walks in. I had heard of him through my mother, because my cousin is dating his best friend. (Weird connection). When I looked into his eyes, he felt like home. I knew he had been hit by a car, by my ex boyfriend’s new girlfriend (my aunt told my mom). I’ve always had an interest in psychology, and I knew this screamed domestic violence, and I knew there was more where that came from. When we met, there was an instant connection. I said “are you the one my ex boyfriend’s new girlfriend hit with a car?” He laughed, and I saw his dimples, and he said “yes….” And it was history from there. I went over his house once and never left. We fell madly in love. Turns out our exes cheated on us with each other. It’s obvious we dated the two demons in order to find each other. He told me his story, and how she abused him physically, mentally, sexually, and financially. Her father is the sgt of police where we live, and she has framed him for violating a restraining order. She has been stalking us and police don’t listen to us because of her pull in our town, because she’s a woman, and because my boyfriend has been framed and is a “criminal”.  All this to say, I feel an extremely strong pull to becoming a lawyer and defending the voiceless. My purpose has become clear.
